In January 2012, JSC FINVAL-INDUSTRY presented JSC POLEMA, a leader in rolled stock and products made molybdenum and tungsten, with a plan for an electrical vacuum high-temperature furnace.
JSC FINVAL-INDUSTRY provides comprehensive outfitting of industrial facilities with metal-working and thermal equipment made by the world's leading manufacturers. The proposed furnace is viewed as one possibility for the primary equipment used to sinter tungsten and molybdenum products at the new hydrostat. This equipment incorporates the principle of hydrogen-vacuum sintering, which is new for JSC POLEMA.
Tungsten and molybdenum were used as the working materials, both for the internal outfitting of the furnace and thermal insulation, and also for the heating elements, which will make it possible to avoid any possible contamination of the products by foreign matter.
If the negotiations are successfully concluded, it is planned to hold a tender for the purchase of a furnace to use in the process of manufacturing products made from tungsten and molybdenum, including large-dimension crucibles.
