Molybdenum and tungsten products for production of leucosapphires
POLEMA JSC is the leading global manufacturer of chromium, molybdenum, tungsten products, metal powders and composite materials.
POLEMA IS 60!
Powder metallurgy plant POLEMA (affiliated to the Industrial Metallurgical Holding) was founded on May 21, 1961. On this day, the first batch of titanium powder was produced here. POLEMA originated as workshop No. 8 of the Novotulsky Metallurgical Plant, which in the middle of the last century became an experimental platform for the implementation of developments of the Central Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy named after V.I. I.P. Bardeen.
The enterprise was one of the first in the country to master the production of metal powders and products from heat-resistant alloys for the aerospace complex. Over time, the plant's product line was supplemented with products made of high-purity chromium, tungsten, molybdenum, refractory and composite materials, which are in demand in the electronics, automotive, aircraft, shipbuilding and medicine.
In 2018, the POLEMA plant launched the production of high-alloy metal powders for surfacing, spraying and additive technologies. The newest equipment made it possible to expand the range of powders and improve their quality.
The company continues to develop new products for various industries. In 2021, POLEMA began production of steel rollers for rolling mills, and powders for 3D printing of the plant became the first domestic materials that can be used to “grow” parts of ship and aircraft engines. Today POLEMA sells its products in Russia and 20 different countries of the world, the company has its own representative offices in Europe and Asia.
