Welding filler bands

JSC POLEMA produces the following welding filler bands for arched mechanized deposition welding of wear-resistant coatings:

  • PL-Np – 300Cr25Si4Ni2Mn2-B-U (PL-AN 101);
  • PL-Np – 500Cr40Ni40Si2MnBZr-B-S (PL-AN 111);
  • PL-Np – 450Cr20Nb7Mo7W2V-B-U (PL-AN 179-1);
  • PL-Np–450Cr31Mo-B-U.

The bands feature a single-lock construction and consist of a steel coating and a filler powder that ensures a certain chemical composition of the deposited metal.

Dimensions of band cross-section: width – 16.5 ± 1, thickness – 3.8 ± 0,4.

The bands are prepared in reels, wound onto a cassette. Each reel consists of a single strip of band with a mass ranging from 45 to 175 kg. The internal diameter of a reel is 440-480 mm, and the width is 120-160 mm. At the client's request, bands with a mass of 25 kg and above can be delivered

Hardness of the weld metal in the second layer is 50-56 HRC.

Use

Mechanized welding of wear-resistant coverings in an open arc or beneath a layer of flux. A universal band for restoring and protecting steel parts of metalworking, mining, agricultural, road-building and other equipment and machine parts from abrasive and gas-forming types of wear under moderate buff loads, normal and increased temperatures: parts of charging equipment of blast-furnaces, coke mill rolls, beater rods, cone crushers, transporter gratings, skip plates, buldozer blades, cases for screw pumps, etc.

The band's mass ratio does not surpass 1.15 kg per 1 kg of welded metal.

Type of welded metal: Ni -Cr3C2 alloy

The hardness of the welded metal in the second layer is no less than 45 HRC (48-55 HRC – reference data).

Use

Mechanized welding with an open arc and under flux of AN-20,  AN-15M of wear-resistant coatings. protection of the surfaces of machine and equipment parts from intense abrasive and gas-forming wear at normal and high temperatures—for example, contact and intermediate belts of cones and pans of loading devices of blast furnaces working at excessive rates.

The band's mass ratio does not exceed 1.2 kg per 1 kg of welded metal.

This band is categorized as a universal welding material and contains fluxing components.

The hardness of the welded metal in the second layer is at least 60 HRC.

Use

Mechanized submerged open arc welding of wear-resistant coatings with increased hardness that resist abrasive and gas-forming wear at normal and high temperatures.

The mass ratio of the band does not exceed 1.2 kg per 1 kg of welded metal.

At the client's request, different requirements can be set for the chemical composition of the welded metal

The hardness of the welded metal in the second layer is at least 58 HRC.

The control method for the welding and technological properties of the bands and the chemical composition and hardness of the welded metal are based on the client' requests.
