POLEMA has increased labour productivity by 12%, following the results of 2018

Powder metallurgy factory “POLEMA” (affiliated to IMH) has built up the labour productivity by 12%, regarding the results in 2018. POLEMA’s CEO Dmitrii Martynov told about this at the seminar on realization of the national project “Labour productivity and employment support” that was held in Tula on February 4th, 2019.

POLEMA’s speaker shared the experience of introduction of advanced systems of labour organization and the results of this work. Over the past year all the processes were mapped and “bottle necks” were defined in the pilot division (atomized powder production workshop). The detailed analysis allowed to find out and eliminate all excess operations and organize the production process in an effective way.

All this resulted in reduction of the in-process stock by 44%, increase of labour productivity, and, subsequently, income rise. Within the program more than 80% of the factory’s employees have improved their qualification and have also visited reference companies of the State Corporation “Rosatom”.

The seminar was devoted to the annual results of the realization of the national project on labour productivity increase. In addition to POLEMA , the speakers of the Economic Development Ministry of the Russian Federation, Tula oblast Government, Federal Competence Center in the sphere of labour productivity and other Tula companies’ representatives took part in that program.

POLEMA is the first company in Tula region, included in the program ““Labour productivity and employment support”. The realization of the program started in December 2017. The powder production workshop  was chosen as a pilot division. This division manufactures the unique for the Russian market spherical powders that are applied for many spheres, including additive technologies.
