POLEMA JSC introduced new projects in the field of additive technology materials at VI International Technological Forum «Innovations. Technologies. Manufacturing»

Powder metallurgy factory POLEMA (affiliated to IMH) presented new developments in the area of innovative materials for additive technologies at VI International Technological Forum «Innovations. Technologies. Manufacturing» that was held from April, 15 to April, 17 in Rybinsk (Yaroslavl region). At the forum POLEMA demonstrated the most recent developments of its Research Laboratory. It’s Super Duplex 25Cr alloy, a material owning an advanced resistance to corrosion at lowered temperatures, and that perfectly suits for solution of oil and gas industry problems, and also a super-invar alloy for 3D printing that is tolerant to rapid changes of temperature and is capable of letting details and machine parts work in any climatic conditions.

In addition, there were presented high entropy alloys, showing an excellent structural behavior at critical temperatures and stability of chemical composition in weld deposition and 3D printing. Mechanical characteristics of 3D printed finished products at different temperatures were covered as well.

The head of R&D department Anastasiia Kubanova told about properties of the new materials, their application areas and mechanical tests results of samples.

New POLEMA’s developments can be applied in oil and gas industry, engine building, tool making and other high technology areas not only in additive production, but in other technologies of surface modification.
