POLEMA INTRODUCED NEW MATERIALS FOR ADDITIVE TECHNOLOGIES AT THE FORMNEXT EXHIBITION 2019

Powder metallurgy plant POLEMA (affiliated to IMH) took part in the largest international exhibition and conference on additive and industrial production called Formnext 2019 (Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany, November 19-22, 2019).

POLEMA displayed at its booth unique products and the newest developments – spherical metal powders for 3D-printing, MIM-technologies, weld deposition and spraying with enhanced characteristics for purity, grain size and flow rate, a renewed range of refractory alloys for spraying and 3D-printing and also parts, manufactured with the help of additive manufacturing from its own-made powders. POLEMA’s exhibition stand was visited by more than 1000 people.

Since the beginning of the year POLEMA has successfully completed application tests for analogs of 316L and Inconel 718 powders within the program on mastering new products. These new materials can be used in oil and gas industry, aerospace and engine engineering, tooling and other hi-tech spheres for additive as well as for other technologies for surface modification.

In 2018 the plant mastered production of spherical powders within the project “Manufacturing of high-alloyed metal powders for weld deposition, spraying and additive technologies”. The plant is capable of manufacturing spherical iron-, nickel-, cobalt-, chromium-, molybdenum- and tungsten-based powders. POLEMA is an exclusive manufacturer of such products on an industrial scale.
