POLEMA JSC introduced new materials for aerospace industry at the air show “MAKS-2019”

Powder metallurgy plant POLEMA (affiliated to IMH) presented new developments in materials for aerospace industry at the Additive Technologies conference organized within the air show “MAKS-2019” that took part August, 29 in Zhukovskiy (Moscow oblast). Mastering of new products was described by the Head of R&D Department Anastasiia Kubanova. In addition, she told about the analogs of 316L and Inconel 718 powders produced by POLEMA JSC that successfully passed tests on the leading manufacturers’ equipment for additive technologies.

Also the reporter shared the information on the renewed range of heat-resistant alloys for coatings and 3D printing:

  • 06Cr14Ni6Cu2MoNbTi (analog of EP817). This powder steel is used in manufacturing details and assembly units for aviation equipment, working under the temperatures from -70°С to +300°С in touch with the fuel;
  • CrNi55W5MoNbTiAl (analog of EP648) and CrNi45MoWTiAlNbB (analog of EP718). Powders from these alloys are used as materials for production of turbine blades working at the temperature above 700°С.

New POLEMA’s developments can be applied in oil and gas, aerospace industry, engine manufacturing, tooling and other high-tech spheres as additive technologies and other technologies of surface modification.
