JSC POLEMA's contribution to the development of medical technologies
JSC POLEMA has produced and delivered processed plates made of pure tungsten, for use in the creation of neutron radiation collimator, for the Medical Radiological Scientific Center (MRSC RAMS) in the city of Obninsk.
The tungsten collimator is a part of the neutron therapy unit, created and developed by the MRSC for treating malignant tumors, based on a compact neutron generator.
JSC POLEMA, which is part of the KOKS Group, is a major producer of large-dimension rolled stock and tooled products made of high-grade molybdenum and tungsten and their alloys, for use in the nuclear power, electrical engineering, and electronics industries, rocket technology and aviation, experimental physics and medicine.
